Orientation

Our full time orientation program is a half-day session with representatives from Community, People, Marketing, and Senior management. Our President and CEO Richard Peddie kicks off the session with an in-depth discussion on how our Vision and Values help us WIN at MLSE.

 
Training Camp

An ongoing, year-round program for our full time and full time contract salaried staff.

Most courses provide choices of when to attend in order for employees to take advantage of every learning opportunity. All courses are designed and delivered by our in-house experts in all facets of the business, to increase our business acumen, wellness and corporate brand knowledge while at MLSE and beyond!

 
Management Development

We provide business courses specific to the development of leadership capability for managers and directors. An in-house, 16-module program entitled the "Exceptional Manager" integrates such areas as: Self Leadership, Development Plans, Fan Loyalty, Attracting The Best, Success Management and more. A group project allows managers from different functional areas to work together to integrate their learning into a project and graded presentation. The top 3 present to senior management. Director development is spearheaded by our Executive Vice Presidents and Senior VP, People. Key Leadership areas are discussed and developed during these workshops, intermittent throughout the year.

 
Elite Training

Focuses on the business skills a leader must have in order to succeed.  Based on course curriculum from the University of Windsor’s Business School, this intensive program is taught over eight months and is a combination of lecture, readings, case studies, group work, and online learning. Approximately eight (8) participants are selected each year by Senior Management based completely on merit.

 
Part-Time Training

All new employees to part-time roles at MLSE are inducted through our Welcome Aboard sessions, which highlight our Vision and Values, procedures, Winning Fan Service, Health and Safety and other programs.  Returning employees attend departmental Welcome Backs as seasons begin again. Each department also has departmental specific training programs, focused around Winning Fan Service.
